Baltic Coast and Denmark

Chris had a few days off prior to New Years, so we took a drive up to the Baltic Coast. We stopped in Hamburg to meet Chris’ cousin (Earnest) who he had never met. We had a great time with Earnest and were happy to have been able to meet him. He is a fun guy and we hope to see him again sometime. We drove on up to the Baltic Coast – which is beautiful. We took a ferry to Denmark. Denmark was nice, but if you got off the main roads, you were pretty much lost. There were not many signs once you got off the main roads. Not that the signs would have done much good – because they were not in English. If you could find someone who spoke English, they were extremely nice and helpful. Of course we went to the Hard Rock CafĂ© in Copenhagen. The next day we drove back to the coast and crossed in the ferry again. We went lighthouse hunting, but could not find very many. It was a great trip and we made it back to Stuttgart on New Year’s Eve – just in time for the fireworks!
