Spring Time with James Thomas!

A lot has happened since my last blog update. JT went on his first trip! We drove up to WV and celebrated Easter with Gran, Auntie Pam, Auntie Beth and Cousin John. We had a party the day before Easter and met lots of family and friends. Saying good bye was hard.

Later in April, JT survived his first, second and third tornado. Despite being without power for over a week, JT still demanded his nightly baths. No power meant no Baby Einstein, but he still had plenty of Jumperoo time!  



May was also a big month!  On Mother’s Day, JT rolled over for the first time from Back to belly!  The next weekend, on May 14^th, he rolled from belly to back.  He is still not doing any crawling with the exception of a little belly crawling.  He would much rather be on his feet than on his back or seat.  He went to his very first birthday party.

May was the month that he got in the baby pool for the first time and also the big pool for the first time.He absolutely LOVES the pool and would probably spend all of his waking hours in there if we would let him.

He continues to charm the ladies and gets cuter every day!

New Discoveries.....

JT just gets cuter every day....

He discovered the grandfather clock yesterday.  He was so cute - he just stared and stared at it.  I am sure he was thinking "hmmmm, so that is where that sound is coming from" and probably making plans to try to climb it some day soon.  Today, he discovered three more things.... first, he discovered my lip and showed me what a great grip he has.  Boy is he strong.  Later, he finally discovered his feet.  I was wondering when he would discover those cute little toes.  And tonight, he discovered the kitties tail.  (poor kitty ~ please don't anyone tell PETA!)

He is sitting a lot now - he usually uses a toy or boppy for a little extra support.  When we try to lay him down - he struggles and struggles to try to sit back up.  For the last couple days, he has wanted to stand a lot.  His legs are getting stronger and stronger.

He still has not rolled over on his own, but he is starting to do a lot of belly crawling.

He still cries a lot - but now, I can only snap one picture of his sad face... once he sees the flash he instantly stops crying and looks at me like he is posing. 

Today, I put him in his portable swing, the lights were only working on one side.  He looked kind of sad about it..... I told him that it was OK that only half the lights worked.....

Obviously.... I was wrong...

I guess mommy is discovering a few new things too....

Time..... it sure does fly.....

Somebody slow down the clocks!  My baby is growing WAY too fast! 

JT has been a busy little boy the past month!  At 3 1/2 months, he is a whopping 16 pounds!  It makes me really sad to have to put clothes that he has never worn in the give away pile :(

He got a nice box filled with goodies from Connecticut.  3 Ralph Lauren outfits, 2 Kenneth Cole outfits, 7 books, and two really cool noise making toys!

He continues to develop his own little personality ~ and I am thinking that Chris and I may be in trouble

He now has an excesaucer and a jumpy thingy that he absolutely LOVES

While he roots for Alabama (Roll Tide), he is a Marshall fan at heart and bleeds green (Go Herd)

He continues to get stronger every day....

And cuter every day too!

He was blessed at church on April 10th and blesses Chris and I every day with his love and presence.

We all met at Steve and Dana's to celebrate Jimmy's (AKA granddad's) birthday.  He thought he was coming to babysit so that Steve and Dana could go out for their anniversary.
